Ep. 132 - Steven Brandon - Lost and Naked

Steven Brandon returns with a slew of new, bewildering projects. We get the bares all about his time as a contestant on VH1’s reality show, “Dating Naked.” (See what we did there, we made a nudity pun in our mention of a nudity themed TV show - we so clever). Opening on September 22nd is Steven’s show LOST: THE MUSICAL - and Will could not be more excited. The Emmys were like two weeks ago, so it’s about time we broke down the highs and lows of this year’s show. Results might not vary.

Ep. 131 - Amy Engelhardt - A Vocal Sparkler

Amy Engelhardt is a singer, songwriter, former member of The Bobs, and generally an all around cool chick. Stick around to hear her comedic holiday classic, “How Did This Thing…?” FXX is about to unleash EVERY SIMPSONS EVER - can this juggernaut ever be stopped? People online were really shitty to Zelda Williams, can these assholes ever be stopped? True Blood is ending and Will can’t wait for this six year national nightmare to end.

Ep. 130 - Corey Podell - Reboobing the Franchise

Corey Podell, one of the hosts of the popular storytelling show TABOO TALES, shares some of her own misdeeds. Ok, not really. We pretty much discuss how this former LAUSD teacher ended up as a performer and solicitor of shame. "Re-Boobing" all male franchises to feature female casts is all the rage these days. We suggest some of our dream line-ups. What’s on your pop culture bucket list? They say that April is the cruelest month, but August is pretty shitty. Have you dumped ice cold water on your head yet? Because we sure as shit haven’t.

Brock Wilbur, comedian, musician, giant, astounds us with his diverse skills and talents. Through diligence and prolific attention not his craft, Brock has found a way to actually make money doing what he loves. Imagine that. A Sharknado devastated New York and we are going to sift through the wreckage. TMNT was unleashed on theaters, how much nostalgia is too much? OK Cupid is actively destroying our love lives; pretty sure we will be single forever. Apparently the devil learned how to text message, can tweeting be far behind?

Ep. 129 - Isaac Simons - The Geins Collection

Isaac Simons, TV commercial director, walks us through his early years as a musician, resident of Portland, and back home again. We discuss how the demands, both creative and technical, differ between narrative film and advertising. Weird Al is back and stronger than ever. What accounts for his four decade long popularity? Comic-Con is over, we round up some of the news - like we gave a crap. Some asshole is hiding cash all over Los Angeles and Will takes this Twitter Terrorist to task. Would you buy a chair that feels like human flesh? What about an ottoman?
